I only knew Kevin for a short time while we worked together on Morris County's Open Space Trust Fund Committee, but his spirit and Irish humor were memorable. Like him, I've suffered from juvenile diabetes since childhood, so his death really hits home. God bless Kevin and his family. Tom

My sympathy to Sandy and her two girls. I remember Kevin from the "before kids days" in Morristown. He was friendly and funny and I was sorry to read about his passing.

I met Kevin when there was a post in the paper asking for volunteers to repair and paint the white fence that leads into Long Valley. That was probably 10 years ago already. I was amazed at how he was so hands on, and wasn’t afraid to do whatever was needed to get the job done. He was able to pull the community together to help each other and do it all without going to the town for funds. I joked with him after seeing that he was covered in white paint by the end of the day asking if “any made it on the fence”. He's been a friend ever since, and I've always been there to help when he needs a good pair of hands. From cleaning the brook of trees after Katrina so our neighbors’ houses wouldn’t flood when it rained to smiles and hand shakes on Sundays, Kevin was always upbeat and always left me smiling. I will really miss him, and my condolences go to his family.

We are so sorry for all the family and friends of Kevin Walsh, especially for his little girls. Kayleigh was in kindergarten last year with my son (Brian Collins) and she is so full of life and energy, our thoughts and prayers go out to her and everyone during this sad time. Sometimes I would see Kevin at parent pickup and he always greeted everyone with a big smile. Please know many people are saddened by his passing and your family is thought of frequently.

Kevin was a legend. He had more life and energy in his pinkie than most of us have in a lifetime. He leaves behind a beautiful legacy in all that he has done for Long Valley but, more important, in Kerry and Kayleigh. He is deeply, deeply missed.

Kevin was always the center of attention and the funniest guy I knew. Loved his family and was a prince to his friends. Like George Bailey, he was the "richest guy in town" because he gave so much and received so much in return. Erin, Billy, Gail, Frank, Katie and Sandy, you're in my prayers as are Kevin's daughters. I'm so sorry.

Did not know Kevin well, but know he cared about his family and community, and I saw his obituary by accident on the Internet today. Please accept my deepest sympathy and we will pray for Kevin and your family.
