I keep trying and trying to put down words and they just won't come. Mark and I were only 8 days apart in age which was always a bond in my heart. Our family is so wonderful in that you don't have to talk to each other every day or even every month to love each other and know how much you are loved. I will miss Mark greatly. I know that God must have a greater purpose for him, though it is hard to imagine what that could be. My love to Audrey, Mark, Matthew, and Katie. I know you will all be strong for and take care of one another in the days to come. And we will be right there with you. Rest in peace, Mark... You will be sorely missed.

Mark was my accountant for many years. He was very generous with his time even when he was very busy. He will be missed by all. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family. The death of one so young is especially hard to understand.

I met Mark 9 years ago. He was a caring person from day one and was always willing to take the time to talk with me. He actually listened but I guess that was what made him Mark. He will be missed by everyone.

ALEX FREDA, January 26, 2010
My deepest condolences to Audrey & the family. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I will miss Mark's fun loving nature and good heartedness alot.

Sue & Jim McGinnis, January 26, 2010
My husband and I have been friends with Mark and Audrey for several years now. Katie & our daughter, Julianne are best buddies. It is so difficult to believe that such a wonderful man, husband to Audrey, father to his children and friend to all that knew him is gone. I guess that we just have to have faith that he is now resting in peace and on a new and wonderful journey. He will be missed terrbily.

I will remember his smile-although I know whenever he visited our office it was not where he wanted to be-but he would still smile. We will miss him.

My heartfelt sympathy to Mark's entire family. I've known Mark through my long time friend George Frizzell for the past eight years, during that time Mark has helped my entire family with tax preparation and valuable advice. Mark was always patient and kind. I remember when he arranged a surprise birthday party for George's 70th at a friends house on Kemah Lake and how many of their mutual friends enjoyed and respected him. God must have needed him for something very important to have taken him from us so soon.

Audrey & family- So very sorry for your loss. The few encounters I had with Mark while his mother was in our care here @ Paragon were geniune & so very loving. God give you all strength during this difficult time.

Terry McKeon, January 26, 2010
Mark came on board as our accountant at Special Homes of NJ in 2002 during a difficult time of transition. He stood by me and with his help we made great strides. As a non-profit agency we relied on his advice and counsel. We're in great shape these days and he is a part of that success. He always got back to you and followed through with everything he promised. I could tell from little side conversations as we were pouring over "the books" how much he was connected to and valued his family. We surely will miss him. Our condolences from all the residents & staff at Special Homes.

My husband and I were client's of Mark. And although we saw him only once a year at tax time; it was as if we saw him just yesterday. He had the remarkable ability to remember conversations from a year ago! We will never forget his big smile and warm and gentle ways. He will truly be missed!

George Frizzell, January 27, 2010
Mark and I had a special bond. I liked him from the first time we met. It was an easy choice to offer him the opportunity to purchase my accounting practice and for the first time he would be the owner of an accounting firm, Frizzell and Kafafian, LLC. He added so much to the practice and it grew because of his infectious personality and the way he treated the clients. He was an excellent accountant and my long term clients were pleased with the way he handled their accounting and tax compliance needs. My children had no interest in following their father into the accounting field. My adopted son did and he will be missed.

Mark and his family will be in our prayers; we pray for the repose of this wonderful man's soul. I grew up with Mark and was fortunate to call him friend during my formative years. We lost contact when Mark relocated from Hasbrouck Heights. Like Mark, I am a CPA by trade and always knew Mark would some day achieve success in life. I'm happy to have known him and his family. With God's Blessing, David & Olivia Cammarata

Dear Audrey, Mark, Matthew and Katelyn, I am so sorry. I am Mark's second cousin and have fond memories of spending time with him and his family. I was eight years old when my family moved away. His smile and easy going personality will always be remembered. I always thought that we would connect someday. Unfortunately we never have that chance. He will be sadly missed. God Bless Love Susan Bowles Fields

I only recently had the pleasure of meeting the Kafafian family, they immediately made me feel welcome and special whenever I was in their company. Mark was a kind soul and will be missed. Audrey, I know this journey will be challenging, please take comfort and strength from the wonderful family you and he had together. Your children are a joy and a source of great strength for you. I know their love will get you through this difficult time. Please don't hesitate to call on me. May God give him eternal rest and may Mark's soul rest in peace. Prayers and Blessings... I work at Lake Mohalk Golf Club where Mark's brother Leon is a member. Mark came to the resturant for lunch quite often with Leon. He was always a pleasure to serve and like many others, will always remember his smile. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. God Bless.
