Margaret E. DeVaughn, 94, died on March 3, 2010. She was a resident of Heath Village Health Care Center in Long Valley, NJ.
Arrangements are handled by the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Rd(corner of rt. 206), Chester, NJ. Viewing will be held from 2pm-6pm on Sunday March 7th at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held on Monday March 8th at 10am at Zion Lutheran Church in Long Valley, followed by burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester.
Margaret was a long-time resident of Maryland and Washington, D.C., with careers in the US Government, Washington Transit Company, and a bookbinder for Graphic Arts Industry. In 1989 she moved to Hastings Square Long Valley to be close to her daughter.
She is survived by her devoted daughter Erna V. Dietz and her husband George of Long Valley, and by 4 grandchildren; George A. Dietz, his wife Diana and their son Christopher of Fayetteville, Georgia; Robert B. Dietz, his wife Michele and their children Danial, Katherine and Laura of Arlington, Washington; Margaret P. DeYong and her husband Paul, and Margaret's children Ashley, Ryan and Shannon Mills, of Long Valley; and David M. Dietz and his wife Sheri, and their children Alexandra, Thomas and Justin Dietz and Daniel and Anthony Kirschner of Long Valley.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church Building Fund, 11 Schooley's Mountain Rd, Long Valley, NJ 07853, or to the Heath Village Friendship Fund, 430 Schooley's Mountain Rd, Hackettstown, NJ 07840.
