Bruce Durand Kuhlthau, 54, of Long Valley, NJ passed away on March 6, 2010. He was born on January 15, 1956 in Warren, NJ. Bruce lived in Long Valley for the last 18 years and previously lived in Mendham. Bruce loved the outdoors; he was an avid hunter and loved fishing. He coached girls basketball and girls lacrosse. He is survived by his wife Susan Kuhlthau of Long Valley, NJ, his two daughters Kimberly and Melissa Kuhlthau, his mother Jean Helmstetter, his sister, Kathy Butt and many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Phillip Kuhlthau

Bruce, you will be missed. I have many, many fond memories of our childhood and the events we shared, specifically the Florida Easter break trips and the family reunions in Watchung, NJ. We all remember the 'splitting of the hair' moment and all the laughs we shared as kids & teenagers. For you & for your family I wish you love and peace. May God always be with you. Cousin Bruce you will be missed by all of your family. I am sorry that in the past 30 years we did not get together very often. I have many special memories of our family trips to Clearwater Beach every Easter and also of my families trips to New Jersey. My family is saddened by your loss.
