Michael was a 2005 graduate of Roxbury HS. He worked in the family business, Berton Tile as a tile contractor.

Michael is survived by his parents, Chris and Bonnie of Daytona Beach, his sister Christie of Daytona Beach. His maternal grandparents, Gordon and Kay Hearn of Okeechobee and his paternal grandparents, Ron and Jane Berton of Daytona Beach. Also surviving, his Aunt Lori (Berton Bohannon) of Daytona Beach, his Uncle Brett (Hearn) of Sussex and Uncle Bobby and Aunt Elyssa (Hearn) of Vernon.

Michael was a friend to all. He had a huge warm heart, a smile that could light up any room, a goofy sense of humor that could make anyone laugh. His mom is going to miss his hugs. All of our hearts are hurting but we know you are ok now. You are our Angel in Heaven.

The memorial gathering will be held on Friday, December 23 from 5pm to 7pm followed by a 7pm memorial service at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road (corner of Rt 206), Chester, NJ (908) 879-3090.
