Stephen L. Berstler Jr., 22, of Chester, NJ passed away on Friday, December 30, 2011. Stephen was born on September 7, 1989 in Hackettstown, NJ. He lived most of his life in the Long Valley and Chester area. Stephen graduated from West Morris Central High School and was currently a student at Salisbury University in Maryland majoring in Health and Physical Education. He was a member of the Cross Country, and Track and Field Team at Salisbury. Stephen was a member of the Salisbury Strength and Conditioning Program, the Treasurer of the Health and PE Society and a sports writer for the Salisbury Flyer.

Stephen is survived by his father Stephen Berstler and step-mother Sarah K. Borda; his mother Sandi P. Basenese; his sister Sara Berstler; his brother Michael Berstler; his step brothers Taylor, Henry and Paul Borda; his grandfather Michael Paul Basenese; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
