Robert J. Brady Sr., 89, of Bedminster, NJ passed away on January 5, 2012. Robert was born on October 20, 1922 in Scranton, Pa. He has lived in Bedminster since 1974. He has been the owner of the Lamplighter Restaurant in Chester since 1982. Robert also owned Roberto's Restaurant and Keystone Lounge in West Orange and Chateau Roberto in Florham Park. He served in the US Army in the Pacific Theater during WWII. Robert was a member of the Knights of Columbus West Orange Council #5519 and the V.F.W. He also had a stable of race horses since 1974.

Robert is survived by his wife of over 67 years, Dorothy; his sons Robert Jr. and wife Lori, Gary and wife Joanne, and Ronald and wife Janet; 9 grandchildren Lisa, Alexis, Tom, Jesse, Tara, Gary, Ashley, Kelly and Colleen; and 6 Great Grandchildren Tyler, Jack, Michael, Ashlyn, Harrison, and Devon.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2011 from 3-7pm at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road (Corner of Rt. 206), Chester, NJ (908) 879-3090. A 10am funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 9 at St. Lawrence Church in Chester, NJ. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.
