Donald Neumann, 66, of Long Valley, NJ passed away on Monday October 30, 2017 at his home. Donald was born on November 7, 1950 in Passaic, NJ to the late Joseph and Hazel (Seeley) Neumann. He lived in Passaic before moving to Long Valley 30 years ago. He was a proud veteran and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. After leaving the service Donald worked for Pella Window and Doors until his retirement. Donald was a member of the Tin Can Sailors, VFW, and the NRA. He loved the water, sailing, fishing, and horseback riding. He had a very big heart and quick wit. Donald was devoted to his family and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Donald is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Paula (Slinger) Neumann; two loving children, Shannon Neumann, and Josh Neumann; brother, Joseph Neumann, Jr. and his wife Alice; and many other loving relatives. He was predeceased by three siblings, Barbara, Ronald, and Robert; and by his parents.
Donald’s Life Celebration will be held privately by his family. In lieu of flowers Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association / American Stroke Association 1 Union Street, Suite 301 Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183.
