Obituary of Joseph Moglia
Joseph E. Moglia, 90, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at the Chelsea in Belvidere, NJ. Joseph was born on August 29, 1926, to Louis and Margaret Moglia, in Vailsburg, NJ.
Joseph proudly served in the US Navy aboard the USS OGLALA during the Korean War. After the war, he began a long career with NJ Bell Telephone Company, retiring in 1983.
A Chester resident for more than 50 years, he loved spending time with and helping his family and friends. A skilled craftsman, he enjoyed working with his hands. He was frequently called for advice, loved solving problems, and was especially fond of tackling old house restoration projects with his daughter.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Dorothy, his daughter, Karen Moglia, his grandchildren, Matthew Casciotta and Keira Vitale, and his siblings, Louis Moglia, Carole Aramondo, and Beverly Maurer. Joseph was preceded in death by Sisters Shirley Heinen, Annette Sauer, Patricia Rozyla, and Brother Kenneth Moglia.
A Celebration of Joseph's Life will include a visitation from 2pm – 6pm on Saturday August 5, 2017 at the William J. Leber Funeral Home (908) 879-3090, 15 Furnace Road, Chester, NJ 07930. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday August 7, 2017 at 10:30am at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester, NJ.
