Obituary of Daniel Serebrakian
Daniel "Dan" J. Serebrakian, 79, of Mount Olive, NJ died suddenly on August 21, 2017 at Hackettstown Medical Center. Dan was born in Brussels, Belgium on June 17, 1938 to the late Léon and Madeleine Serebrakian. He served in the U.S. Army from 1960-1963 and later worked as a technical editor for many years before his retirement. He lived in Brussels, Mount Kisco, NY, and NYC before moving to Mount Olive 41 years ago. Dan loved being with his family and friends. He also enjoyed animals, fishing, photography, supporting environmental causes, and traveling around the world.
He is survived by his wife and best friend, Kathryn "Kay" (Collins) Serebrakian; his niece and nephews; and by other loving family members and his many friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Lily S. Tyler.
Dan's Life Celebration will be held privately by his family.
