Obituary of Richard Gagnon
Richard "Frenchy" Gagnon, 88, of Califon, NJ passed away on January 2, 2018. Richard was born on March 26, 1929 in Saint-Samuel Quebec Canada to the late Omer and Ophelia Gagnon. He grew up in Canada and has lived in Long Valley since 1969. He was a Union Electrician and member of IBEW #102 and a parishioner of St. Luke Parish in Long Valley. Richard loved to play hockey and was a passionate Montreal Canadiens fan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Marie (Taraskiewicz) Gagnon; devoted grandson, Daniel Martin and wife Ashley; cherished great-grandson, Blake Martin; step-daughter, Linda Weck; 4 sisters; his beloved dog and companion, Button; and by many other loving family members and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday January 5, 2018 at 10:30AM at St. Luke Parish in Long Valley, NJ. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester, NJ.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center, Noah's Ark Adoption Center, 1915 US Route 46, Ledgewood, NJ 07852.
