Obituary of Kathleen Antonaccio

Kathleen Ann Antonaccio, 61, of Long Valley, NJ passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, after a courageous year-long battle with cancer. She was born August 7, 1956 in Hanover, PA, raised in nearby McSherrystown, PA, lived in Lancaster, PA from 1979 to 2002, and in Long Valley until her passing. Katie was a member of St. Luke Parish in Long Valley.

Katie was known for her caring nature, generosity, and razor-sharp wit. She ran a charity that produced hundreds of backpacks filled with clothing and toys for children battling cancer. Above all, her life revolved around raising her children, caring for her family, and being a friend to many wherever life took her.

Katie is survived by her husband of 38 years, Tony Antonaccio; her children, Daniel Robert Antonaccio and wife Britni Crocker, Anthony James Antonaccio, and Cara Marie Antonaccio; her parents Daniel and Regina Colgan; and her 8 siblings, Lynn Cohen, Brian Colgan, Patrick Colgan, Eileen Bowling, Jackie Klunk, Julie McMaster, Jennifer Wells, and Daniel Colgan.

A Celebration of Katie’s Life will include a visitation Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road (Corner of Rt. 206), Chester, NJ (908) 879-3090. A visitation will also be held Friday, February 23, 2018 from 6:30 pm to 9pm at Murphy Funeral Home, 501 Ridge Ave, McSherrystown, PA. A 10am funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 24 at Annunciation of the  Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in McSherrystown, PA, followed by a burial at the church cemetery.
