Obituary of Capistrano Luzano
Capistrano "Cap" P. Luzano, Jr., 50, of Cliffside Park, NJ passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018. Cap was born in New Brunswick, NJ and grew up in Elizabeth. He has lived in Budd Lake, NJ for the past 4 months and previously lived for over 10 years in Cliffside Park, NJ. Cap was a Parts Manager for the Ford of Englewood, NJ.
Cap was a beloved son, brother and uncle. He lived a full though too short life with a positive and upbeat attitude. After graduating high school from Seton Hall Prep in West Orange, NJ he attended Five Towns College in Long Island, NY and earned his Associates Degree in Music Business. He had a passion and talent for music and he shared it with everyone through singing and playing guitar and piano. You could find him playing in front of crowds at a bar or in a living room with friends and family singing along.
In his early days you could find Cap racing around town in his Camaro and later Trans-Am. His love of cars also led to his second career in the auto industry where he served others and was always respected for his hard work and knowledge. Cap was a quintessential foodie – he appreciated gourmet and fast food and everything in-between. His love of movies, TV and music gave him the uncanny ability to recall quotes and trivia on demand. His sense of humor and elaborate storytelling left people on the edge of their seats or on the floor laughing.
Most importantly, he had a powerful love for his family. He was extremely proud of his family and their bonds. He loved taking family trips, especially to Las Vegas, doting on his nieces and nephews, and was happiest just being around his family talking and sharing stories. Though he is departed too soon, he had a life complete with love and joy that will be honored and celebrated.
Cap is survived by his mother, Teresita Luzano, his siblings, Glenn Luzano and wife Jeanine, Tino Luzano, Theresa Luzano and husband Chris Deleon, and James Luzano and wife Lauren, his nieces, Lili and Gianna, his nephews, Davis and Tysen, and his beloved pug, Oliver. He was predeceased by his father, Capistrano P. Luzano, Sr. in 2012.
A Celebration of Cap's Life will include a visitation on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road (Corner of Rt. 206), Chester, NJ (908) 879-3090. A 2:30pm funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 3 at St. Jude Parish in Budd Lake, NJ. Interment will be held privately by the family.
