Obituary of Marybeth Ratigan
Marybeth Ratigan, 59, of Budd Lake, NJ passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017. Marybeth was born on April 24, 1957 and spent her childhood in Mountain Lakes. For the past 30 years she and her husband Martin (Bud) have made Budd Lake their home.
An avid animal lover, Marybeth graduated from Leicester College with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. Marybeth shared her home and life with her "girls" Maize, Onyx, Trooper, Kali, Kodiak and Mr. Magoo.
Marybeth worked as office manager at MedLabel where she took pride in working to meet the needs of their customers and owners.
Her home is a proud reflection of her love of decorating, and crafting. She was an amazing organizer, gardener and avid photographer. She was never afraid to tackle a home repair, from drywall; to plumbing to cement work Marybeth did it all, and did it well.
When not at home, Marybeth loved the beach and especially enjoyed spending time with her family in the Outer Banks. She was happiest when surrounded by her friends and family.
Survived by her husband of 33 years, Martin (Bud) Ratigan, her sisters, Susanne Fahringer, Carol Crisci, and Barbara Liston, her many loving nieces, nephews and extended family, she was predeceased by her parents Richard & Mary Lou Scully and brother Peter.
A Celebration of Marybeth's Life will include a visitation from 3pm to 7pm on Monday, February 6, 2017 at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road (Corner of Rt. 206), Chester, NJ (908) 879-3090. A 10:30am funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at St. Jude Parish in Budd Lake, NJ. Interment will be held privately by the family.
