Obituary of Stephen Cohan
Stephen L. Cohan, 74, of Chester, NJ passed away on February 12, 2017 in Morristown, NJ. He was born on December 15, 1942 in New York, NY to the late Daniel and Helen (Agee) Cohan. He resided in Garden City, Long Island, NY for many years before moving to Chester 17 years ago. Stephen received a Master's in Architectural Engineering from Virginia Tech University. He worked as a Registered Architect/ Professional Engineer and was the owner of Stelco Restoration & Technology Corp. in New York City. He was a recipient of the Landmark Award for his restoration work in Manhattan.
His hobbies included classic cars and collecting antiques- especially antique clocks.
Stephen is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Linda Cohan, his dear children, Lorrell Herman, Rebecca Cohan, Alison Pankowski, Loren Maglione, Corinne Lowenstein, Thomas Cohan and David Cohan. He also is survived by 9 grandchildren and many loving family members and friends. Stephen will always be remembered for his strong work ethic, playful sense of humor and his unconditional love for all his German Shepherd puppies.
Stephen's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Thursday, February 16th from 4:00pm-8:00pm at the William J. Leber Funeral Home (908) 879-3090, 15 Furnace Road (Corner of Rt. 206), Chester, NJ 07930. There will be a Funeral Service held that evening at 7:30pm. Interment will be private.
