Obituary of James Thomlinson
James Thomlinson was born April 2, 1939 in Greenock, Scotland and passed away on May 23, 2017 at home surrounded by his family.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife Liz, married for 55 years; his children, Tom & Tanya, Karen, Rebecca and Mandy; his siblings, George (Evelyn) and Anne Marie (Alan); brother to his sisters in law; Pat and Sally and a much loved uncle to their children as well as many cousins in America and Scotland.
Jim was the proudest Papa to Jessica, Rachael & Sharif, Emily &Trey, Laura & Michelle, Kameron, Kaycee, Joshua, Michael, Kara and Paige; great grandchildren, Kenley, Jayden, Morrison, Taylor and Kennedy.
Jim was predeceased by his parents; Nan & Hugh, his brother Hugh (Sheena); his son Iain and his granddaughter Abigail.
A Celebration of Jim’s Life will include a Funeral Mass at Noon on Friday June 2, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton RC Church. Interment will be held directly after the mass at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester.
In lieu of flowers Jim had wanted a scholarship fund established for Iain’s daughter Kara Thomlinson.
