Patricia Ann Hampton, 87, of Pompton Plains, NJ (previously of Chester NJ), passed away on May 24, 2017 in Pompton Plains, NJ.
Born in New York City, she lived in Staten Island until moving to Chester NJ in 1987. She has lived in Pompton Plains for the last 7 years.
Patricia was an Administrative Assistant for AllState Insurance Company in Long Valley, NJ.
Patricia was an animal and pet lover, particularly dogs. She took great pride in her home. Patricia loved her family, especially her husband, who was her world.
Patricia was predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years, Charles Hampton, by her brother, Lawrence, by her son-in-law, Michael Stortz and by her daughter-in-law, Cindy Maurer. Devoted mother of Charles Hampton and his spouse Martha, Robert Hampton and his spouse Rosanna, Patricia Stortz and her spouse Paul Basista, Candace Herman and her spouse Donald, Mark Hampton and his spouse Laura, and Sandra Hampton. Cherished grandmother of Katie, Stephanie, Robert Joseph, Jonathan, Michael, Sarah, Tricia, Matthew, Cassie, Jessica, Kelsey, Patrick and Colleen. Loving great grandmother of Robert Anthony.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Patricia's Life Celebration on Saturday, June 3 from 2:00PM to 3:30PM at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road (Corner of Rt. 206), Chester, NJ (908-879-3090). A Prayer Service will begin at 3:30PM.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Florida chapter of the ALS Association (webfl.als.org) or to the National MS Society (http://www.nationalmssociety.org/).
