Aida L. Mancini, 76, of Mount Olive, NJ passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 peacefully at home with her family by her side.
Aida was born on September 5, 1942 in Cayey, Puerto Rico to the late Guillermo and Basilisa Cedeno. She moved from Puerto Rico to Bronx, NY when she was 8 years old. She then resided in Delray Beach, Florida before finally relocating to New Jersey. She has called Mount Olive home for the past 17 years.
Aida’s greatest pride & joy was being a grandmother. She helped raise all of her grandchildren and greatly impacted their journey into adulthood. Aida loved to cook, and her cooking was unmatched. She also enjoyed sewing and has created many family heirlooms, which will be passed down to future generations. Aida loved the beach, loved to cruise, and more importantly, vacationing with her family.
No matter what, time with family and friends was always time well spent.
Aida is survived by her children, Michael Mancini, Laura Cochran, and Lisa Mancini along with husband Peter Whitehouse, her grandchildren Valerie, Alyssa, Lily, Justin, Sydney, Jake, Sean, her great grandchildren, Miles and Adele, and her siblings, Juan and Carmen. She was predeceased by her husband, Ugo, and her siblings, Jose and Eduardo.
A 1:30pm funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at St. Jude Parish in Budd Lake, NJ. Interment will be held privately by the family.
