RoseMarie Spina, 83, of Long Valley, NJ passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Care One Nursing Home in Morristown, NJ. RoseMarie was born on July 10, 1936 in Harlem, NY. She grew up in Harlem, married and moved to Queens, before retiring to the Country Club section of the Bronx. RoseMarie, who started her career at Macy’s in Herald Square, was a retired check processor for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
RoseMarie could always be seen smiling, happy and laughing. She loved cooking chicken cutlet and eggplant. RoseMarie was affectionally known as “Auntie Ro.” She had a strong dedication to her children and grandchildren.
RoseMarie is survived by her sons, Anthony Spina and wife Alice, Billy Spina and wife Cynthia, her 5 grandchildren, Christopher, Jason, Anthony, Nichole and Andrew, her brother, Vincent Marino, and her brothers-in-law, John Trentalange and Dominick Spina. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Anthony Spina, and her sister, Concetta Trentalange.
A Celebration of RoseMarie’s Life will include a visitation on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 4pm to 9pm at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road (corner of Rt. 206), Chester, NJ (908) 879-3090. An 8am funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Our Lady of the Mountain Church in Long Valley, NJ. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Middle Village, Queens, NY.
