Stanley Joseph Garczynski, 77, of Wharton, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday July 19, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family. Stanley was born on December 4, 1942 in Floral Park, NY to the late Stanley and Genevieve Garczynski. He graduated from Herricks HS in New Hyde Park, NY and went on to attend St. John's University in Queens, NY where he received a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting. After college, he spent two years active duty in the U.S. Army, specializing in computerized troop deployment and special forces assignment applications. The majority of Stanley's 30-year work career was spent working as a Manager/ Information Director for Hoechst Celanese in Bridgewater, NJ from 1975 until his retirement in 1998. He was an avid golfer and worked as a starter at Flanders Valley Golf Course after retirement. Stanley enjoyed gardening, working on household projects, coaching youth soccer, and most of all, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Mary Ellen (Zurenko) Garczynski; two devoted children, Michael Garczynski, and wife Janet, and Christina Liparini and husband Kevin; six cherished grandchildren, Riley and Michael (their mother, Colleen), James, Sylvie, Ysabel, and Sara; two loving siblings, Eleanor Bauer, and George Garczynski; and by many other loving family members and friends. He was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and Peter. Stanley's Life Celebration will include a brief memorial gathering for family and close friends inside the church vestibule from 10AM – 10:30AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in Flanders, NJ. A memorial mass will begin at 10:30AM. Military Honors will be presented by the U.S. Army outside of church at the conclusion of the mass. A burial of ashes will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester, NJ. Everyone is required to wear a mask inside of the church.
