John P. Peracchio

John P. Peracchio, 81, of Monroe Twp., NJ passed away on Monday February 1, 2021 at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick, NJ. John was born on January 28, 1940 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Secondo and Grace (Galatello) Peracchio. He lived in Flanders, NJ before moving to Monroe 10 years ago. John was a reservist for the US Army from 1961-1967. He worked several years as a Floor Specialist on the New York Stock Exchange before retiring in 2000.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Antonia (Mascis) Peracchio; three devoted children, John Peracchio, David Peracchio and his wife Anne Marie, and Chris Ann Crisafulli and her husband Pete; eight cherished grandchildren, John, Danielle, Jimmy, Taylor, William, Joseph, Thomas, and Brianne; and by many other loving family members and friends. His cousins Joan Collison, Angelina Duke, AnnaLee Jacobsen, Marion and Thomas Fraumeni, who were more like siblings. His many friends at the Renaissance community where they resided for the past 10 years.

More than anything he loved being with his grandchildren. The fun of spending time with them during their childhood then watching them grow up into wonderful young adults gave him so much pleasure. John’s happiest times were the holidays and family gatherings. His family was so very important to him and knowing that they remain close made him so very happy. We would recall so many fun moments with our children John, David and Chris Ann during their childhood. John was so thankful that they were always at his side during all his hospital and rehab stays these past years.

His love for the years he worked trading on the New York Stock Exchange continued his entire life. John enjoyed discussing the market with his sons John and David, and most recently his grandson Tom.

John’s favorite pastime was playing pinochle and poker at the clubhouse with his friends. He belonged to several clubs in the community and always looked forward to going to their events. His smile will always be remembered by everyone who ever met him.

Our lives are sadder without John.
