Sandra F. Stiles

Sandra F. (Fletcher) Stiles, 66, passed away on Saturday April 17, 2021 at Saint Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ. Sandra was born on November 23, 1954 in Morristown, NJ to the late James and Bess (Zacker) Fletcher. She grew up in East Hanover, NJ with her parents and her younger brother, Jay, and graduated from Hanover Park High School in 1973. Sandi earned a nursing degree from the County College of Morris and worked as a Registered Nurse at Morristown Memorial Hospital where she met her soulmate Dan, who she happily married in 1979. Sandi worked for several years as an RN before becoming a full-time mother to her two daughters, Danielle and Nicole. Having a love of medicine, Sandi actively renewed her nursing license and attended continuing medical education seminars.

Traveling with family was one of Sandi's greatest pastimes. Sandi and Dan had special memories visiting Sandi's father and brother in Lake Norman, NC and Boca Raton, FL. The two also traveled to the West Coast to visit close friends in Bend, OR, where they fondly recall their time together at Crater Lake, OR. The family especially enjoyed their time visiting Aruba, the Cayman Islands, Disney World, and Kings Mill Resort, VA. Also, visiting the Jersey Shore was among her greatest memories, spending time in Point Pleasant Beach, Island Beach State Park, and Cape May. Traveling to New York City to see Broadway shows and having dinner were unforgettable moments for the Stiles family, and visiting the Chanler at Cliffwalk, RI also became a favorite trip to Sandi and Dan, where they shared a special celebration of their 40th wedding anniversary.

Parks were dear to Sandi's heart. She and Dan had their first date at Jockey Hollow and became engaged at Lewis Morris Park. She and her family would return to Jockey Hollow each fall to have a picnic together after pumpkin picking, and she and Dan would enjoy walks through Lewis Morris Park with their beloved husky, Rocky. Sandi and Dan also shared a passion for music, attending various concerts at the PNC Bank Arts Center and Morristown Performing Arts Center multiple times a year.

Nutrition and exercise were extremely important to Sandi. She became a pioneer vegetarian and an advocate of alternative medicine. Sandi read every book written by her favorite nutritionist, Gary Null, and thoroughly enjoyed reading books across medical fields. Sandi was also an avid tennis fan. She loved playing tennis with her family, watching her daughters play high school tennis, going to the US OPEN and playing tennis on a weekly basis with her friends.

Faith and family were the most integral parts of her life. She was a devout Christian and made a commitment to read the Bible each day. Sandi treasured the time spent with her loved ones, especially her beautiful grandchildren. She will be remembered most for her love of family, her deep inner strength and faith, her ability to always place others before herself, her compassion, and her overall fun-loving spirit which guided her throughout life.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years, Daniel Stiles; two devoted daughters, Danielle Stiles Naim and her husband Giacomo, and Nicole Stiles Rogler and her husband Robert; four cherished grandchildren, Jacob, Emily, Kirsten, and Addison; and by many other loving family members and friends.
