Obituary of Grace Pompei DuBoyce

Grace Pompei DuBoyce, 94, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2018 at CareOne in Livingston, NJ. Grace was born on October 12, 1923 in Newark, NJ. She grew up in Bloomfield, NJ and lived in Florham Park, NJ for 60 years before spending the last year in Livingston. Grace was a retired secretary for Electrolux in Union, NJ and previously owned a hair salon in Madison, NJ.

Grace loved to dance. She always was dressed beautifully and was extremely meticulous when it came to clothing. Grace was a small woman but she was a pistol with a huge personality. She was intelligent, articulate and enjoyed the arts.

Grace is survived by her husband of 30 years, Edward DuBoyce, her daughters, Claire Pompei and wife Dolores Yurkovic, Janice Cordileone and husband Anthony, and Deborah Corvasce and husband Jerry, her grandchildren, Nicole, Gary, Justin, Emily and Matthew, her brother, Jerry Fontanazza, her sister-in-law, Mary Alice Coelho, and many other loving family members and friends. She was predeceased by her previous husband, Nick Pompei.

A Celebration of Grace's Life will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm with an 8:30pm funeral service at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road (Corner of Rt. 206), Chester, NJ (908) 879-3090. An 11am entombment service will take place on Friday, February 9 at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union, NJ.
