Obituary of Joan Daley
Joan Ann Daley, 84, of Wharton, NJ passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018. Joan was born on February 18, 1934 in Jersey City, NJ. She has lived in Wharton for the past 8 years and previously lived in Hollywood, Fl, Ocean Township, NJ and Jersey City, NJ.
Joan was a voracious reader, and especially liked books and novels. She loved spending time at the beaches of Hollywood, Fl and the Jersey Shore. Joan always kept up with current events, politics and enjoyed watching the news. She was an accomplished pianist and loved to play in her younger days. Joan was incredibly loyal and proud of her family, and took great joy in their successes, particularly her grandchildren.
Joan is survived by her children, William Pritchard and his wife Ann, Pamela Gordon and her husband Stephen, and Joseph Pritchard and wife Bee, her grandchildren, James Gordon and his wife Lisa, Elizabeth Brooks and her husband Colin, William Pritchard, and Jack Pritchard. She was predeceased by her husband, William Pritchard and husband, Francis Daley.
A Celebration of Joan's Life will include a visitation from 9am to 10am on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road (Corner of Rt. 206), Chester, NJ (908) 879-3090 followed by a 10:30am funeral mass at St. Lawrence Church, 375 Main Street, Chester, NJ. A burial will be held privately by the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org/donate.
