Obituary of Paul F. Boccia
Paul F. Boccia, 92, of West Orange, NJ passed away on Thursday May 31, 2018 at home. Paul was born on March 25, 1926 in Orange, NJ to the late Paul Joseph Boccia and Edith (Jacobitti) Boccia. He served in the United States Army during WWII. Paul owned and operated Boccia Jewelry in Newark, NJ for many years before starting a home improvement business. Paul will be remembered most as an honest, hardworking man, proud veteran, who had a deep love for his family.
Paul is survived by his two loving daughters, Jan Hompesch and husband Michael, and Susan Stellingwerf and husband Glenn, four grandchildren, Michael and wife Michelle, Steven and wife Paulina, Brian, and Christina, sister, Edythe Ciccone, and three great-grandchildren, Siena, Ariana, and Isabella. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 54 years, Janis (Jordan) Boccia and his son, Paul Jordan Boccia.
A Celebration of Paul's Life will include a visitation on Thursday, June 7, 2018 from 10am to 11:30am followed by an 11:30am service at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road (corner of Rt. 206), Chester, NJ (908) 879-3090. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester, NJ. Paul's family requests no flowers, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the West Orange Fire Department, 415 Valley Road, West Orange, NJ 07052.
