Obituary of Richard Lischy
Richard Morrison Lischy 1929 - 2018
Richard "Pop-Pop or Uncle Dick" Lischy (depending on who you are) peacefully passed away at the age of 89 on October 5, 2018 in Mount Olive, NJ. Our forever fisherman, lover of Dixieland Jazz and the perfect gin & tonic, Fox News addict, loyal Eagles fan (he's still Superbowl smiling) was preceded in death by his wife, our beloved Constance Lischy, aka "Aunt Connie" to so many.
Born in Abington, Pennsylvania, Richard graduated from Temple University and served in the US Navy during the Korean War as a Naval photographer. He lived in Montville, NJ for 47 years and raised his nephew, Christopher from the age of six, as his own son. Richard grew his career in sales for Yale & Towne material handling and then moved to commercial real estate sales retiring in 2013 and relocating closer to his son Christopher and daughter-in-law Lauren Lischy, and grandchildren Brianna and Joshua.
His easy, social nature, great sense of humor and storytelling will be deeply missed. In lieu of a wake or ceremony, the immediate family will be holding a private service.
