Obituary of Charles "Chuck" Paul Simpkins
Charles “Chuck” P. Simpkins, 73, of Budd Lake, NJ passed away suddenly on October 6, 2018 in Dover, NJ. Chuck was born on January 8, 1945 in West Virginia and has been living in Budd Lake for over 20 years. He served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a Purple Heart recipient . He was a retired Lieutenant Corrections Officer for the State of New Jersey where he worked for 25 years. Chuck was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish. He belived strongly in helping others in need.
Chuck is survived by his two devoted sons, Christopher Simpkins and wife Debbie, Shaun Simpkins and wife Mindy; four grandchildren, Ryan, Brenden, Tyler, and Dylan; two sisters, Linda, and Barbara; and by two men with whom he worked with and were like his sons, Scott and Robert Kiesling.
Chuck’s Life Celebration will include a visitation on Thursday October 11, 2018 from 4pm-8pm at the William J. Leber Funeral Home (908) 879-3090, 15 Furnace Rd. (corner of Rt.206) Chester, NJ 07930. A Funeral service will begin at 7:30pm followed by Military Honors at the Funeral Home which will conclude all services. Interment will be held privately by his family.
In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
