Obituary of Thomas A. Ryan
Thomas A. Ryan, 78, of Califon, NJ passed away on October 11, 2018 in Morristown, NJ. He was born on February 17 1940 in Flushing, NY to the late Thomas E. and Grace Ryan. Tom grew up in New York, and lived in Fairfield, NJ before moving to Califon 28 years ago. He served in the US Army and later was the owner/operator of Tamron Inc., a trucking company out of Fairfield, NJ.
Tom was a "Jack of All Trades", he loved to cook, bake, swim, sled, ice skate, and take care of his indoor plants. He was a past member of the Pomton Plains Rotary Club and former owner of the Moutainville Post Café. Tom's greatest joy in life was spending special time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Marilyn (Traks) Ryan; four devoted daughters, Michele, Melissa, Monica, and Maureen; eight loving grandchildren, Nicholas, Jonathan, Zachary, Alexandria, Emily, Hunter, Henry, and Jack; cherished great-granddaughter, Arrington; two sisters, Rosemary, and Patricia; and by many other loving family members and friends.
Tom's Life Celebration will include a funeral Mass on Friday November 2, 2018 at 11AM at St. Luke RC Parish, 265 West Mill Road, Long Valley, NJ 07853. Interment will be held privately by Tom's family.
