Obituary of Marian E. Howell
Marian E. Howell (nee Walker), 94, a long-time resident of Dover, NJ passed away on October 29, 2018 at Paragon Village in Mount Olive Township, NJ. Marian was born on July 2, 1924 in Newton, NJ to the late Floyd and Olive Walker. During World War II, Marian worked at Picatinny Arsenal where she and many other women did their part when our country needed them most. She was very active in the Founders Baptist Church in Dover and taught Sunday School for 40 years. Marian also enjoyed tending to her garden, especially growing her vegetables.
She is survived by her three devoted sons, John Howell and wife Sandy, Thomas Howell and wife Ella, and Wayne Howell and wife Lulu; seven loving grandchildren; and by eleven cherished great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Harry Howell in 1983.
Marian's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Thursday November 1, 2018 from 10am-11am. A Funeral Service will begin at 11am at the funeral home immediately following the visitation. Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover, NJ.
