Obituary of Rosemary Shubick
Rosemary Shubick, 97, of Budd Lake, NJ, passed away on Tuesday March 26, 2019 at Holly Manor Nursing Home in Mendham, NJ. Rosemary was born on December 8, 1921 in Avoca, PA. She lived in Carteret, NJ before moving to Budd Lake over 40 years ago. She was a parishioner at St. Joseph's in Carteret and Our Lady of the Mountain in Long Valley, NJ. Rosemary was a member of the Rosary Society and will always be remembered for her devout faith, and kindness to others.
She is survived by her four devoted children, Mary Ellen Cummis, John Shubick and wife Karen, Carol Pellet and husband Glenn, and Thomas Shubick; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and by her three siblings, Thomas Fitzsimmons, Anne Kunze, and Joan Mullery. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Michael in 2016; and by her two siblings, Jack Fitzsimmons, and Eleanor Dobbins.
Rosemary's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Friday March 29, 2019 from 9AM – 11AM at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Rd. (corner of Rt. 206) Chester, NJ 07930. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:30AM at Our Lady of the Mountain RC Church in Long Valley following the visitation. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester, NJ.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Catholic Charities, Diocese of Paterson 777 Valley Road, Clifton, NJ 07013 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
