Obituary of Helen Pochmerski
Helen Pochmerski, 96, recently of Chester, NJ passed away on Sunday May 5, 2019 at the Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice in Fredon Twp., NJ. Helen was born on January 9, 1923 in New York, NY and lived in Freehold, NJ most of her life before moving to Chester four years ago. She enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening and most of all, helping others in need. She was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima RC Church in Freehold for many years and was strong in faith.
Helen is survived by her two devoted children, William Pochmerski and wife Linda, and Roberta Misar and husband Glenn; four cherished grandchildren, Jimmy Misar, Daniel Misar, Shawn Misar, and Chelsea Tynan; son-in-law Robert Tynan; brother, John Staba and wife Joyce; and by many other loving family members and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Dennis Pochmerski; and by her daughter Leona Tynan.
Helen’s Life Celebration will include a visitation on Wednesday May 8, 2019 from 10AM – 11AM at the William J. Leber Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will begin at 11AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Freehold, NJ.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the COPD Foundation, 3300 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Coral Gables, FL 33134.
