Obituary of John Savic

Ostoja “John” Savic, 78, passed away on Tuesday July 23, 2019 at Merry Heart Nursing Home in Succasunna, NJ with his family always by his side. John was born on October 23, 1940 in Srbac, Yugoslavia to the late Ostoja and Makivija Savic. He lived in Andover, NJ and Chester, NJ before moving to Succasunna five years ago. He was a skilled carpenter and owner of his own business, Savic Construction. John enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling, and sitting outside in the sun. He will be remembered most for work ethic and devotion to his family.

 

He is survived by his three loving children, Michele Rodeiro, John Savic, and Tina Greenemeier and husband Eric; six cherished grandchildren, Vincent, Anthony, and Adrianna Rodeiro, and Eric, Tyler, and Tiffany Greenemeier; four sisters, Savka Savic, Desanka Pcelica, Stoja Kusic, and Mirjana Djukic; and by many other loving family members and friends. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Florence Savic in 2013, and by his sister, Zorka Bozic.

 

John’s Life Celebration will include a visitation on Friday July 26, 2019 from 4PM – 8PM at the William J. Leber Funeral Home (908) 879-3090 15 Furnace Road (corner of Rt. 206) Chester, NJ 07930. A Funeral Mass will be celebration on Saturday July 27, 2019 at 10:30AM at Good Shepherd RC Church in Andover. Interment will follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Andover.
