Nerisa Pineda

Obituary of Nerisa M. Pineda

Nerisa M. Pineda, 46, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away Monday July 13, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Nerisa was born on March 22, 1974 in Manila, Philippines to Jessica Mandap and the late Florencio Mandap. She graduated from New Jersey City University with a bachelor's degree in computer science. Nerisa has spent the last 15 years working as an IT Systems Administrator for the Royal Bank of Canada. After moving to the United States in 1994, she resided in Jersey City, NJ before moving with her family to Hackettstown 14 years ago. Her passions included photography, traveling the world, relaxing in a nice warm beach, and shopping for good deals. Her greatest gifts in life are her "babies" — husband, Louis Warren, and sons, James and Luke. Nerisa is survived by her beloved husband of 20 years, Louis Warren Pineda; two cherished sons, James Pineda and Luke Pineda; loving mother, Jessica Mandap; four devoted siblings, Ela, Raymond, Anna, and Maria; and by many other loving family members and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Florencio Mandap. Nerisa's Life Celebration will include a rotating gathering of friends and family from 3PM – 5:30PM. The family along with the funeral home would never want to rush anyone from paying respects, but with the current health crisis and limited restrictions on capacity indoors, we kindly ask guests to pay your respects and be mindful of the time to give others an opportunity to do the same. Face masks are always required to be worn inside the building. The funeral home staff will only be allowing 50 people in the building at any one time. A brief virtual ZOOM service will be offered starting at 6PM. Flowers are welcomed and encouraged for the visitation. Cremation will be held privately by Somerset Hills Memorial Park.
