Obituary of Nancy Lee Mitchell

Nancy Lee Mitchell, 75, of North Plainfield, NJ passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 peacefully at home. Nancy was born on January 19, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Norman and Lillian Sheridan. She was a certified histotechnologist and laboratory manager, and was very proud of her many years at Overlook Hospital and then Summit Medical Group. Nancy was instrumental in establishing the Histopathology Lab at Summit Medical Group and has worked there for over 10 years.

Nancy loved the beach and traveling to Sanibel Island, Florida. She loved her family and celebrating holidays together. Nancy also enjoyed shopping and loved cats.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, George Mitchell, her daughter Amber Serritella and husband Robert, grandchildren, Allyson and John, stepdaughter, Sharon Mitchell and her children Cameron, Leif and Dalton, her sister, Noreen Krnc, and her brother Patrick Sheridan.
