Obituary of Michael Scott Wolters
Michael Scott Wolters, 49, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away unexpectedly on May 25, 2021 in Columbia, TN. Michael was born on June 1, 1971 in Somerville, NJ to Jan Hero Wolters and Elsje (de Vries) Wolters. He grew up in Long Valley, NJ and has lived in Hackettstown for the past 20 years. Michael was an extremely hard worker and worked 30 years as an executive mover. He enjoyed fishing, tending to his vegetable garden, and was a fantastic natural golfer. Michael was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, as well as a soccer fan. He was also very proud of his Dutch heritage.
He is survived by his loving mother, Elsje Wolters; five devoted siblings, Luke Wolters and his wife Cindy, Ellien Kjeldsen and her husband Ron, Cindy Sigler, Jan Wolters, and Chris Probst and her husband Dennis; and by many other loving family members and a countless number of friends. He was predeceased by his father, Jan Hero Wolters, and by his brother-in-law, Rod Sigler.
Michael’s Life Celebration will include a memorial visitation on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 5pm – 8pm at the William J. Leber Funeral Home (908) 879-3090, 15 Furnace Road (corner of Route 206), Chester, NJ 07930. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday June 12, 2021 at 11am at the Funeral Home. Interment will be held privately by Michael’s Family.
