Obituary of John Joseph Sullivan
John Joseph Sullivan of Flanders, NJ passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, Mr. Sullivan has been living in Flanders for the past 33 years. He was an engineer for Bell Laboratories in Whippany and AT&T Technologies in Springfield, NJ before retiring in 1994. He served in the United States Air Force. He was an avid golfer at Flanders Valley Golf Course.
He is survived by his beloved wife: Cathleen (Carberry) Sullivan; his loving daughter: Cathleen Sullivan Krasnick and her husband Matthew; his loving son: John M. Sullivan and his cherished grandsons: Jack and Sean. He was predeceased by his parents Michael and Anna (Haggerty) Sullivan and his sisters: Anna Gulbransen and Julia Breslin
Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Rd., Chester, NJ.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated, Thursday, September 11th at 10:00 am at St. Lawrence The Martyr Church, 375 Main St., in Chester, NJ.
Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester, NJ following the Mass.
