Albert W. Bedwin, 85
Passed away Tuesday November 25th. He was the son the late Albert D. Bedwin and Laura Morehouse Bedwin of Pompton Plains, NJ.
He was a graduate of Butler High School Class of 1940. He attended Newark College of Engineering for two years, prior to joining the Army.
He was a Sergeant Medic in the U.S. 82nd Airborne, stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C. in WWII.
He worked for 38 years for Union Carbide Corp in Bound Brook, NJ before retiring on February 18, 1978.
He leaves his wife, Marilyn, of 63years. They were married on September 15, 1945 in Butler, NJ. They had 3 children, a son Brian, who died in infancy, daughters Sharon Lee Clarke of Litchfield, Ct and Margaret Housman of Hampton, NJ. Three grandchildren, William Jayne of Arizona, Benjamin and Sarah Housman of Hampton, NJ. Four sisters, Constance Ormsby of Toms River, Grace Mather of Rockaway, Catherine Conklin of Vernon, Ct and Mavis Summers of Springfield, MO. He is predeceased by his sister Dorothy Cowan.
