Obituary of William Fred Harm Sr.
William Fred Harm, Sr., known to everyone as "Mr. H." , passed away on Monday, December 22, 2008 at Morristown Memorial Hospital at the age of 86. Mr. Harm was born March 20, 1922 in North Bergen, NJ. He was the son of the late John and the late Mary (Carr) Harm. He had been living in Chester for the over 40 yrs. He was previously from Parsippany.Mr. Harm was a World War II Navy Veteran. He served on the USS Freestone. He received a Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic Pacific Ribbon, and Philippine Liberation Ribbon - 1 star, American Theater ribbon and a Victory Medal. He was member of the VFW in Parsippany. His hobbies included antique cars. He was employed by Whippany Paper Board, Whippany, NJ as a Mechanic for 35 years before retiring.He is survived by four sons: William Harm, Scott Harm, Barry Harm, Drew Harm and three daughters: Robin Harm, Carol Sokow, Sharon Zimmerman; he also has13 GrandchildrenHe was predeceased by his Wife, Ann in 2006.Visiting hours will be Friday, December 26th from 9:00am-10:30am at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Rd., Chester, NJ. A Funeral service will be Friday at 10:30am at the funeral home following the visitation.. Burial will be in Brigadier General William C.
