Celebration of Life
Obituary of Samantha Frances Suchovic
Samantha Frances Suchovic, 21 of Lebanon Township passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2016. Sam was born on March 27, 1995 in New Brunswick and is a lifelong resident of Lebanon Township. She was a Senior Psychology major with a minor in Education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a graduate of Voorhees High School.
Sam was extremely generous with her time and loved helping others. She modestly led by example, never looking for praise or recognition. She was known affectionately as “mom” amongst friends, always taking care of everyone. She enjoyed volunteering as an intern at Full Circle Adoption, New2U, local Amherst schools, and Habitat for Humanity to name a few. She was a Resident Assistant and a student supervisor at UMass. Her academic achievements remained strong throughout her school years, as she was currently maintaining her academic scholarship at UMass. Sam loved to run and was on the track and cross country teams all four years of high school. She was a recipient of the Girl Scout Gold award and member of VHS Key club. She was an active member of St Luke Parish and formerly a participant of the Antioch program. Sam had more of an impact on the world in 21 years than most people have in a lifetime.
Sam is survived by her parents, Daniel M. and Frances (Nee Arcay) Suchovic, her siblings, Matthew and Jessica, her grandparents, Daniel G. Suchovic and Robert and Frances Arcay, her dog Bean and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Sam was predeceased by her grandmother Maryann Suchovic.
A celebration of Sam’s life will include a visitation on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 4pm to 8pm at St Luke Parish, 265 West Mill Road, Long Valley, NJ. A funeral service will be held 11:00am on September 10 at St Luke Parish. Interment will be held privately by the family. Flowers are welcome and donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity at: http://www.habitat.org/cd/giving/one/donate.aspx?z=a&link=1.
